- This Sunday, March 23 - A new shipment of clothing, toys and medical supplies will be sent to Ukraine next Monday, March 24. Donations must be brought to the building by this Sunday. A list of needed items is available on the receptionist's desk by the "information" sign.
- Sunday - Alpha has just started a new series of discussions at 5:30 p.m. This 10-week series is designed for those who would like to know more about "this Christianity thing." Invite anyone you know who might be looking for real meaning in their lives. See Ron Roberts with questions.
- Monday/Tuesday - Women of the Word meets each Monday at 6:30 p.m. for the evening study and Tuesday at 9 a.m. for the morning study. Both classes will be on Lesson 10 next week.
- Tuesday - Senior Saints are invited to a no-host breakfast at the Cameo Restaurant on 78th St. and Andresen at 8 a.m.
- Next Wednesday, March 26 - MOMS meets each week at 9:30 a.m. Child Care is provided. Next week Nick Brown from Brown's Funeral home will share tips about planning funerals.
- Thursday - Men's Bible Study. 5:30-6:30 a.m. as well as a 6-7 p.m. in the church building.
- Weekly Operating Budget = $11,111
Average Income (3/9/08) = $ 9,801
Weekly Average Deficit = $ 1,310
This translates to an annual deficit of $66,810. This means we either have to make some serious expense reductions or we have to increase our giving to balance the budget.

Adult Bible Classes - Each Sunday at 9 a.m. there is a study for adults (1) in the Fireside Room using the Chronological Bible, (2) the back of the Family Life Center on parenting, or (3) in the front of the Family Life Center on Ecclesiastes. Anyone is welcome.
New Items
· April 7 - Women of the Word (Monday evening & Tuesday morning classes) will share a salad pot luck together at 6:30 p.m. It has been suggested to meet once a month during the summer on the second Monday beginning May 12. See Cheryl Foster for details.
Coming Events
· March 29 - Marriage Mentoring training. Learn how to encourage others in their marriage relationship. Tonight by Jim Maxwell from 9 a.m. to noon I the Fireside Room on Saturday, March 29.
- March 30 - Deadline to submit your application/consent form and $100 deposit to participate in Club Quest's summer trip to Mexico to build houses. Remember, you must have a passport this year. Application forms are available at the Scrip table in the lobby.
- Teens going to Mexico this summer - if you want to earn some of your funds, let Bonnie Miller know that you are willing to work so you can be connected to those who want to hire teens for odd jobs.
- Adults - if you want to hire teens to do odd jobs, contact the church office.
- April 4-5 - Cascade College will host a Kingdom Builder program focused on "A People of Prayer." See the poster on the bulletin board for registration forms and details.
- April 4-6 - Youth Group Retreat for all middle and high school students. Registrations and payment of $50 is due on March 28. See Tim Sibley with any questions.
- April 5 - Hazel Dell church will host a Ladies Lectureship featuring Dr. June Breninger. See the flier on the bulletin board for details.
- April 12 - Madison Park church in Seattle will host a Ladies Day program titled "Passing it on to the Next Generations." See the flier on the bulletin board for more information.
- April 12 - Men, reserve the night for you and your sons. Enjoy a great evening of food, sharing and a guest speaker at the annual "Knight of Honor." This year's theme is "Facing Your Giants." Sign up in the lobby.
- April 19 - Cheryl Foster and Bryanna Martin will be the speakers at a Ladies Fellowship Day in Yakima. See the flier on the bulletin board for more information or contact Linda Martin.
- Summer Camps at Yamhill - The schedule for this summer's camps is posted on the bulletin board in the lobby. Discount available for early registration (before May 1).
- Quilters - Yamhill Women's Retreat this September will have quilts made by the ladies of each congregation representing their church that will then be auctioned to create a scholarship fund for future women's retreats. Check with Roberta Davis for details about how you can help with our congregation's quilt.

Prayer Concerns:
- Pray for those in our community (your friends and neighbors) who need to hear the good news of Jesus.
- Pray for the spiritual growth and maturing of our members (yourself included).
- Pray for the physical growth of this congregation and our ongoing building process.
- Pray for generous giving hearts as we begin new ministries.
- Pray for our ministries that we might utilize our resources most effectively to proclaim the Kingdom.
- Pray for our preschool, Bright Beginnings, that our community will be blessed and that relationships with Jesus will be built through this medium.
- Pray for our elders that they will be true shepherds of the flock.
- Pray for our staff that they will use their time wisely to serve this congregation.
- Pray for our deacons that they will have servant hearts.
- Pray for our families & marriage relationships between husbands and wives.
- Pray for wisdom and morality among those who govern our state and nation.
- Give thanks for those who protect our country and freedom to worship.

- Grady Brown's father passed away last Sunday afternoon in Arizona. Lift up Grady and his family during this time of grief.
- Miriam Black, born six weeks prematurely to Chris & Heather (Pierce) Black, is still in the hospital in Boston. Her condition continues to improve. Continue to pray for her healing. You can follow her progress on www.carepages.com where you can register with a sign-in name and password for free.

- Greg Wampler requests prayers for a friend Cecile Visto in the Philippines as she looks for work and for her safety as well as for her faith to grow.

- Bill Tolar, Pam McCaughan's step-father, is being treated for pulmonary fibrosis. Pray for his health.
- Tiffany Housley's sister-in-law has been struggling to conceive. Pray for her and her husband.

· Bright Beginnings provides a snack each morning for the children. If anyone would be willing to bring any of the following items they can be placed by Allison's office door: pretzels, saltine crackers, Ritz crackers, Goldfish crackers, Animal crackers, Cheez-its, Graham crackers, Wheat Thins, dried fruit (raisins, apricots, cranberries, mixed berries) and juice concentrate. Costco size is ok.

- We are collecting Box Tops for Education and Campbell Soup UPC symbols to get materials for Columbia Christian Schools. Put your labels and box tops in the basket on the Sunday Market Table.
- Recycle your empty laser jet and ink jet cartridges, cell phones and papers. We receive income regularly from all of these efforts in addition to helping the environment. Paper should be put in the green recycling bin at the rear (west side) of our building next to the garbage compound. Ink cartridges & phones can be left by the Receptionist's Counter in the lobby.
- Donations of clothing and books can be brought at any time. We are in our second year of selling books online and have sold over $1430 since June of last year. We can also sell video tapes, CDs, and DVDs. We are able to be paid for fabric items (pillows, linens, clothes, shoes, etc.) from a local agency as well. This income benefits the Mexico Mission Project.
