In 2006, Andrew and Aimee Jo Martin approached our congregation, asking us to commit to sending them to work alongside Jeff and Cheryl Cash in Fort Portal Uganda. After much prayer and a leap of faith, we agreed to serve as their sponsoring church. They plan to work alongside the Cashes (who have served alone in Fort Portal for 12 years) doing church planting, leadership training, and other ministries under the New Testament Churches of Christ, Ltd., registration in Uganda.

The Martins were approached by the Cashes in 2004 and asked if they would join them on the mission field. Andrew and Aimee Jo took a survey trip to Uganda in the summer of 2005 and after seeing all of the areas of opportunity to serve and contribute (and after much prayer and fasting) they felt compelled and called to make the decision to move to Fort Portal to join the Cashes.

Andrew and Aimee Jo and their daughter Anaiah left the states for Fort Portal on December 12, 2007. They will spend their first year in country doing language and culture learning and helping with existing ministries such as Faith Quest Uganda.
