Happy "Maundy Thursday" as many of our brothers and sisters refer to this day. This is the day of "Holy Week" that many remember Jesus' command (mandate--from which we get the word Maundy) given in John 13 to love one another. I hope everyone's journey towards “Resurrection Sunday" contiues to be filled with wonder, anticipation, and hope as well as confession, repentance and humility.
We have a BIG weekend of events planned and I wanted to make sure everyone was planning to attend. First is our fifth annual "Good Friday Service" tomorrow evening from 6-7 p.m. (childcare provided ages birth - 2nd grade). Then Saturday starting at 9 a.m. is another annual tradition: our pancake breakfast for everyone (9-10 am) followed by the egg hunt for children ages birth to 6th grade (10:30 to noon).
And then, of course, is our celebration of resurrection on Easter Sunday. Our time in the word will be focused on answering the question "What does The Resurrection mean?" It will also be the final week in our 2+ year study of the book of Luke!
Many people are still considering participating in some kind of Easter-related activity this weekend. Who can you invite to one ore more of these events?
See you there!
